[Request] ArgoForg

's request, so the theme of the picture is not a surprise, is it ? Okay, so there's a lot to explain about this one, dunno what to begin with...

I'll just start by copy-pasting here Argo's main idea about the background of this picture, which is obviously Sailor Moon-oriented :

"Somewhere in the first season of the series, Beryl decided that rather than just killing them all (which was no fun for anyone and obviously wasn't working), she wanted permanent trophies of the Moon Kingdom's champions on display for their folly in trying to deny her rule. Beryl (or one of her generals, most likely) created a Medusa-like Youma, who arrived on Earth and got the attention of the Senshi, and when they confronted her, the Youma beat the Senshi back and took the two as trophies for good measure. Since then, their uniforms have gotten ripped away by constant viewing by the forces of the Negaverse, and the Youma has been sent back to gather the remaining Senshi, who by now have looked to gather the help of Pluto, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus, and might just end up bringing Beryl a lot more statues."

Well, it didn't end up exactly the way I wanted it in the first place... I was hoping to do a 3-way split picture, but 3D Studio Max just wouldn't re-render the scene with the right lighting, so I had to do with the render I already had. I also did mistakes while using Photoshop, Painter and 3DSMax simultaneously which prevented me from modifying some things the way I liked. And finally, I ended up spending much more time on that request than I originally thought. It isn't a bad thing, it was really very instructing in itself (in particular for my 3D skills) ; but there comes a point where you've spent so much time on a piece that you just can't work on it anymore.

So, in the end, the poor Moon and Venus are reduced to small statuettes on the back of the scene, so I really advise to download the full size in order to be able to zoom. Might also see some textures I used that way ^^"
