New Sweets

I'm glad I could actually recover quick enough to prepare an Easter pic after that exhausting trip (see my recent journal if you don't know what I'm talking about). That would have been too bad to miss the occasion after 4 consecutive years with my obligatory Easter pic xP

And for that special occasion, here's something completely new ! I've been fiddling a lot with 3D character modeling in the last few years but never obtained anything that I judged worthy of being shown. Well, lately I've progressed quite a bit and I'm proud to show my very first full 3D pic on my dA gallery !

It's not perfect, of course, but I'm fairly happy with the range of techniques I was able to learn to get to that result. Character modeling and rigging for the body, soft body simulation for the hair, collar and bunny ears (though it's not all that visible), fluid simulation for the liquid chocolate inside the egg, and particle systems for the grass. It was really fulfilling, and I really look forward to learning even more techniques in the future.

I'll keep working on 3D chibi character models in the times to come, though I'm not 100% sure of where I'll be going with them yet. I'm really interested in what you think of it though, so comments are especially welcome ! =3
